Fixed Plant Specialist

Salary and Hours of Work:
We are offering a competitive hourly rate for this full-time position. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday (10 hours) and Saturday (6 hours), with a total of 56 hours per week.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Boilermakers/Welders to join our workshop team based in Canning Vale. With the potential to assist on occasion with our mine site-based FIFO shutdowns, and site coverage (paid at 12 hours per day).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MMAW, FCAW, and MIG.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed plant components, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and chutes.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and adhere to all relevant regulations and procedures.
Requirements:
- Australian-recognized trade certificate in boilermaking or a related field.
- Ability to pass weld tests in 2F MMAW, 3G MMAW, 2F FCAW, and 3G FCAW.
- Experience and knowledge of fixed plant components, although not essential.
- WA driver's license.
- Ability to interpret drawings and instructions.
- Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
- Provide a national police clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid or Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Working at Heights certification.
- Confined Space Entry training.
- Elevated Work Platform competency.
- Dogging & Rigging competency.
