We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carer Assessment Caseworker to join our team at SSI Australia. As a key member of our Multicultural Child and Family Program, you will play a critical role in assessing and supporting foster carers to provide safe and nurturing environments for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of foster carers to ensure they meet the NSW Child Safe Standards.
  • Develop and implement carer development plans to support foster carers in providing high-quality care.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners, including the Department of Communities and Justice, to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and assessment of multicultural foster carers.
  • Review carer authorizations and complete comprehensive carer review reports.
  • Provide carer support and training to foster carers, including onboarding and retaining carers.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of community engagement strategies to promote culturally responsive foster care.
About You

We are looking for an experienced and passionate professional who shares our commitment to creating a world where everyone has access to equal opportunities. You will have:

Tertiary education in social work or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 2 years' experience working with children, young people, and families.Understanding of and experience in casework, training, and child protection.Well-developed analytical and organizational skills.Previous experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.About SSI Australia
