About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Analog Mixed-Signal designer who will actively work with cross-functional design teams to create state-of-the-art IPs key to Apple's products. The ideal candidate will be challenged to make best-in-class designs that surprise and delight Apple customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance and high-speed AMS circuits used in SerDes PHY
  • Evaluate different circuit topologies for specific product requirements
  • Develop block-level specifications, mixed-signal implementations, and behavioral modeling
  • Work closely with SOC teams to deliver IP views and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Communicate progress, discuss new ideas, and drive new implementations/concepts

Requirements

  • BSEE required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in high-speed analog/mixed-signal architecture and circuit design
  • Deep understanding of clocking fundamentals, phase noise, jitter analysis, budgeting, and feedback loop dynamics
  • Skilled in designing/debugging RTL, developing System Verilog models, and performing behavioral simulations
  • Exceptional focus on understanding problems and their systemic impacts, ensuring thoroughness in problem-solving

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Concepts of timing closure and related industry tools
  • Concepts of IP delivery and quality checks
  • Knowledge of common high-speed SerDes protocols
  • Skills in scripting and automation to improve efficiency
  • Team collaboration and productivity skills
