Job Title: Senior Financial Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Strategist to join our team at Skilled Jobs Australia. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and success.

About the Role:
  • Determine and implement effective management reporting systems to track financial performance against budget.
  • Provide senior management with expert advice on business performance, funding requirements, and risk management.
  • Lead the implementation of cost performance improvement initiatives and benchmarking programs.
  • Assess capital finance proposals and advise on investment strategies, sources of funds, and earnings distribution.
  • Analyse trends and financial performance across business units and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
  1. Compile the annual budget in collaboration with senior management.
  2. Supervise and train junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  3. Take part in systems' and process improvement initiatives, including the implementation of the Hhub operating management system.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting, preferably using SAP Business One and the Hhub operating management system.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and relevant standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial staff.
  • A degree in a related field, such as business or finance, and relevant certifications, if applicable.
Compensation:

We offer an attractive basic salary of approximately $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits. This is a competitive package that reflects the skills and experience required for this role.
