Quarry Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quarry Operator to join our team at our Ferny Grove Quarry in Brisbane, Queensland. As a Quarry Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and excavators, as well as operating the crushing and screening plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile equipment, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and excavators.
  • Operate the crushing and screening plant.
  • Perform general fixed plant maintenance and inspections.
  • During busy periods, assist with any quarry tasks as needed.
  • Commit to zero harm and safety leadership.
  • Adhere to fixed and mobile plant pre-start and maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Quarry or mining experience.
  • Experience operating a front-end loader, dump truck, and/or excavator.
  • Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised.
  • Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude.
