About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Simpro Corporate Pty Ltd. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality backend services using PHP.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in back-end development, modern front-end frameworks, and AWS infrastructure to contribute to the growth and success of our SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable, efficient backend services using PHP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-facing features using front-end technologies (Angular or React).
  • Architect, develop, and deploy serverless solutions on AWS, including Lambda functions, event-driven architecture, and message queues.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with DevOps to streamline deployment pipelines and manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in PHP development.
  • Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Solid experience with AWS services related to serverless architecture (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway).
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude towards collaborative development.
