Clinical Psychologists play a vital role in supporting the mental wellbeing of children and adolescents, providing high-quality care to promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to young people (12-25 years) with complex mental health conditions, including emotion dysregulation and trauma.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care, including assessments, intervention services, and care coordination.
- Develop treatment protocols for young people with severe and complex mental health needs, contributing to service delivery improvements and clinical supervision as required.
- Establish strong therapeutic relationships with young people, ensuring engagement across services.
- Full registration with the Psychology Board, with endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
- Minimum two-year full-time equivalent APAC-accredited Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment, intervention, and evaluation of clinical outcomes for young people with complex mental health needs.
- Ability to design and implement treatment protocols for youth with complex mental health needs.
- Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- Capacity to provide clinical supervision and work within a multidisciplinary team in a community mental health setting.
- Experience in quality improvement and research.
