Job Title: Breastfeeding Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of women, families, and communities across North West Queensland.

The role requires working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist breastfeeding support services.

You will be responsible for educating healthcare professionals, women, and their families about optimal lactation practices and addressing any concerns related to infant feeding.

Key qualifications include:

  • A tertiary degree qualification in Nursing or Midwifery and relevant registration/licences
  • Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of study is highly desirable
