C&K Childcare & Kindergarten is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at the Dixon St Early Years Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in providing healthy and nutritious meals for our children.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term contract opportunity that will see you working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends, nights, or public holidays. You will be responsible for creating delicious and nutritious meals and snacks that meet the dietary needs of our children.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals and snacks for our children, using our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities
- Design and deliver menus that meet the dietary needs of our children, with the support of our Kitchens Operations Supervisor
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a safe and hygienic manner
- Work collaboratively with our team to provide a positive and supportive environment for our children

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or Quality Food Supervisor Certificate
- Previous experience in cooking for young children or within a large commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of menu planning for dietary and nutritional requirements
- A valid Blue Card and current Police Check (or willingness to obtain these)
