Project Manager

The role of the Project Manager is pivotal to the success of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing diverse scopes of work, including wet utilities, site work, reinforced concrete, and PEMB for Governmental, Municipal, Industrial, and Private entities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams and large-scale projects, with a strong technical knowledge and understanding of project management principles in various sectors. They must be able to read and interpret drawings, use laser levels, calculate grades, and compute ratios and percentages as needed.

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and supervising construction projects ranging from $200k to $10M, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and in a safe and efficient manner. They will also collaborate with senior management to formulate and execute internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to formulate and execute internal policies and procedures
  • Perform job bidding and project estimating tasks, managing all elements with regard to creating customer quotes and preparing cost estimates
  • Review the planning, budgeting, and implementation of projects
  • Analyze performance, costs, and operations to maintain progress toward the achievement of goals and objectives
  • Verify permits and licenses from appropriate authorities have been obtained
  • Coordinate with superintendents to plan and place needed resources (i.e., manpower, equipment, and materials) from project beginning to completion
  • Schedule timelines to ensure milestones and project completion dates are met
  • Manage subcontractor contracts and schedules according to project timelines
  • Direct and supervise the work of superintendents, foremen etc. to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance the company's ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
  • Evaluate progress of projects and prepare detailed reports to submit to upper management
Requirements
  • A proven track record of managing teams and large-scale projects
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of project management principles in various sectors
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, use laser levels, calculate grades, and compute ratios and percentages as needed
  • Thorough understanding of construction codes, working knowledge of all trades and OSHA safety requirements, and familiarity with DOT standards and protocols
  • Advanced knowledge of all phases of concrete construction including installation of rebar, concrete placement, formwork systems, and layout
  • Proven ability to make decisions and follow through on commitments while successfully managing multiple tasks of varying degrees of scope and complexity
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction accounting, and the ability to read and analyze financial statements such as the P&L's
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a successful track record of leading and developing teams
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization, as well as customers and subcontractors
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation strongly favored
  • OSHA 10 hour or OSHA 30 hour for Construction training desired
