Cafe Attendant Job Description

As a cafe attendant at Arcare, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for residents to socialize, relax, and enjoy refreshments. The cafe attendant is responsible for providing friendly and attentive customer service to residents, staff, and visitors who visit the cafe. They will greet customers, take orders, and handle transactions with professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, responding to their needs and ensuring they have a positive experience.
  • Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and simple snacks or light meals available in the cafe.
  • Menu Management: Assist in creating and updating the cafe menu, considering residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
  • Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and other cafe supplies, and reorder items as necessary.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities
