Our organization is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to provide exceptional care for a family in Mitchelton, Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for one 2-year-old and one 2-month-old child.

The educator will need to be flexible and able to work varied shifts, including early morning, late afternoon, and overnight shifts. The mother is a shift worker, so her hours vary. Reliable transportation and a driver's license are required.

Example of shifts:
7 shifts a fortnight, all mixed with different shifts.

The shift times are as follows.

Early - 0700 - 1530

Late - 1430 - 2300

Night - 2245 - 0715

The mum is usually rostered about 3-4 nights per month, so this would require an overnight stay. There is a good mixture of early and lates.

Early shifts the family would require the educator from 0530 - 0700 and when required to drop the two-year-old off to daycare (some days the family will require care until 1600)

When the mum does lates she would require the educator from 1800 - 2330 and then when required to pick the two year old up from daycare (or some days from 1300)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate - Childcare First Aid Training HLTAID0011 and HLTAID009
  • Blue card and Police Clearance
  • Liability insurance (once successfully placed)
  • Medical Clearance
  • Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years)
  • ABN (this role is for a self-employed/contractor)
  • Photo ID
  • PRODA RA (the office will assist you with this)
