Our Vision

Our platform is designed to power thousands of stores across multiple continents, reaching millions of shoppers every month.

Key Objectives:

  • Develop and manage our internal and customer-facing React application, along with the Python/Django API that supports it.
  • Enhance the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure, deploying our API via ECS.
  • Manage and scale our infrastructure to ensure it keeps pace with rapid growth in active devices, new customers, and markets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, Product Manager, and Design team to iterate on the technical vision for our product.
  • Work with the Data & AI team on projects related to scheduling and optimisation systems, measurement reporting, and innovative AI and ML tools.
  • Partner with the In Store Systems and Platform teams to continually improve the user experience, observability, and maintainability of the system.

About You

We're looking for an experienced software engineer who has worked on production applications both as a solo contributor and as part of a team. You should be comfortable working across a range of technologies up and down the stack.

You must have working technical fluency in:

  • Python and Django, or similar back-end languages such as Ruby or Typescript.
  • React or similar front-end frameworks.
  • RESTful API design and implementation.
  • RDBMS fundamentals, particularly MySQL or Postgresql.

Bonus points if you have experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, advanced mathematics concepts, physical hardware deployed on-prem or within data centres, high-throughput or complex data applications, or hardware projects like electronics or embedded systems.
