EL1 Instructional Material Specialist

We are seeking an experienced EL1 Instructional Material Specialist to join our team in Canberra.

The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on reforming a regulatory list, collaborating with team members to ensure effective implementation of these reforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of instructional materials including standard operating procedures, work instructions and templates to support Compliance and Assurance capabilities.
  • Establish and manage collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, liaising with stakeholders to inform the development and implementation of instructional materials.
  • Lead the management of planning, organising and coordinating instructional materials and associated activities to support transition to Business as Usual.
  • Supervise, mentor and support APS staff, ensuring they have the opportunity to lead and contribute to the work of the team.
  • Other duties in the administration of reform activities managed by the section, as required.

Key Capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing instructional material.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage work activities and staff.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under limited direction, and exercise common sense and intelligence in decision making processes.
  • Experience in compliance and assurance processes such as case management, research and review as well as risk assessment and development of guidance materials.

Salary: Estimated $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.

This is a 6-month contract role based in Canberra. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instructional material development and implementation, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
