Pool Lifeguard

We are seeking passionate community-minded professionals to join the team in a brand-new aquatic centre in the Clarence Valley. This dynamic role offers an opportunity to ensure the safety of all patrons while managing risks in a complex environment.

As the Pool Lifeguard, you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and clean aquatic centre that adheres to legislative, health, and safety regulations. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing active lifeguarding duties to ensure adequate supervision is always maintained.
• Ensuring the aquatic centre remains safe, clean, tidy, and well-maintained in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Undertaking operational tasks related to cleaning and maintenance, including amenities and grounds.
• Administering first aid and emergency response as required.
• Assisting in maintaining pool hygiene and water quality in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Carrying out general functions associated with customer service, kiosk, and merchandise shop areas when required, including cash handling and EFTPOS sales.
• Providing exceptional customer service to patrons and assisting with other areas of the centre as needed.

A successful candidate will possess:

• A current Driver's Licence
• A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• A current First Aid Certificate and Perform CPR Certificate
• A current Working with Children Check
• The willingness to work collaboratively as a team member
• A reliable and strong work ethic
