About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Employment Pathway Consultant to join our team, responsible for empowering and motivating individuals with Autism on their employment pathway.

The successful applicant will have high-level communication skills and a dedication to the rights of people with disability. In this role, you will:

  • Connect with participants by coaching, capacity building, and developing them on their journey to securing or maintaining employment or volunteering roles.
  • Create and establish pathways for individuals via schools and other NDIS funded programs.
  • Conduct formal assessments and implement employment strategies.
  • Oversee and monitor NDIS plans.
  • Coordinate job searches and job support activities with the assistance of job coaches.
  • Complete registration requirements for programs.
  • Provide reporting as required.
  • Most importantly, provide a person-centered approach.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will be familiar with the employment challenges faced by people with a disability and will have experience working in a role that enables their employment.

You will also have:

  • An ability to think creatively and outside the box, with the ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • An understanding of NDIS plans and requirements.
  • A knowledge and understanding of School Leaver Employment Supports.
  • A passion to break down employment challenges and help your job seekers reach their full potential.
  • A First Aid certificate (HLTAID011), including a current HLTAID009 component.
  • A Working with Children's Check.
  • A Full valid drivers' license.
  • Hold relevant qualifications.
