Postdoctoral Researcher in Genomics

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow to join our team at the National Centre for Indigenous Genomics. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in genomics and developing innovative solutions for genomic data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery research and develop novel algorithms and software solutions for genomic data analysis
  • Perform empirical evaluations and benchmarking experiments to validate research outcomes
  • Collaborate with national and international researchers to deliver research outcomes and engage with stakeholders

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a relevant field (e.g., genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology)
  • Excellent research skills and experience in genomic data analysis
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or C++
  • Experience with high-performance computing and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
