The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles. This will involve using technical expertise and the latest diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair faults in vehicles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles, using your technical expertise and the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance: Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including servicing, replacing parts and making adjustments.
- Service Repairs: Accurately diagnose and document service repairs.
- Vehicle Inspection: Test and inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
- Road Tests: Conduct road tests and perform thorough quality control inspections.
- Customer Service: Provide customer service and advice to clients as required.
- Workplace Culture: Foster a positive, collaborative and team-oriented culture within the workshop.
- Work Environment: Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment while ensuring the proper use of tools and specialised equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Automotive Mechanics Formal Qualification: Formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics.
- Automotive Technician Experience: Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostic techniques.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of automotive technician experience is required.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to customers.
- Licence and Tools: A current driver's licence and your own set of tools.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, conscientious, and adaptable, with a strong work ethic.
