About the Role:

The Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria, is seeking a skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will provide specialized financial and accounting advice to support all functions within the Accommodation Carpool and Library Service (ACLS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Support the delivery of ACLS business deliverables by providing timely, accurate, and compliant financial and accounting advice.">
  • Lead elements of the development and implementation of ACLS' CAM funding transition project.">
  • Develop and enhance approaches to key financial functions within ACLS in support of the CAM transition project and other projects.">
  • Constructively engage with central agencies, client departments, external service providers, and stakeholders to assist in delivering service outcomes.">
  • Collaborate with senior finance staff to implement system improvements and refine management reporting processes and financial control environments.">

About You:

">

To be considered for this role, you must possess broad financial technical knowledge and high-level financial accounting capability, with demonstrated expertise in current Australian Accounting Standards and Victorian financial management legislation and compliance frameworks.

">

You should have a high level of proficiency in data analysis, the ability to summarise and communicate such analysis as accurate and timely advice to senior managers, and well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Demonstrated achievement and/or aptitude in leading or coordinating projects requiring constructive stakeholder engagement and collaborative work in a team environment are essential. A tertiary qualification in accounting and membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA or CA) are also required.
