Job Summary:
As a Home Companion, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with dementia at Emmaus Village. Our innovative residential community provides a unique environment that encourages residents to maintain their independence and personal identity. You will build meaningful relationships with the residents, creating an atmosphere of trust and respect.

**Responsibilities:**
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of each resident.
  • Provide support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Team to ensure high-quality care and promote the well-being of our residents.
  • Participate in community activities and events, fostering social connections and a sense of belonging among residents.


**Requirements:**
  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care/Community Services (required).
  • Experience working with aged people living with dementia or NDIS clients within their own homes (preferred).
  • A willingness to learn about dementia and its effects on individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
