Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team at Mount Waverley Heights Primary School in Mount Waverley. The successful candidate will play, teach, and take care of children in a safe learning environment.
The Role
- Assist in delivering daily quality activities for children that are engaging, fun, stimulating, and carry educational value.
- Supervise and support children during various daily tasks.
- Prepare and serve healthy food options to promote well-being.
- Create an inclusive and happy environment for children.
- BUILD meaningful relationships with your colleagues, the children, families, school leaders, and the school community.
About You
- You have a warm and engaging personality.
- You have a strong focus on child safety and a deep understanding of mandatory reporting requirements.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You hold a relevant qualification such as Certificate III or higher in Children's Services, Early Childhood, School Aged care (or studying towards) or equivalent.
- You are willing to obtain necessary certifications, including Working with Children Check, HLTAID012 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training, and Child Protection Certificate.
- You are available to work Monday to Friday.
