As an Electrical Systems Specialist at Brunel, you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and project delivery of electrical systems across a large and sophisticated site. Your responsibilities will include working with an integrated High Voltage network and advanced lighting systems. You will also support the delivery of various projects related to electrical systems, such as electrical installations, maintenance, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Installations and Maintenance: Perform electrical installations and maintenance across the airport site, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Contractor Supervision: Supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • OSH Pre-Start Meetings and Permit Issuance: Undertake OSH pre-start contractor meetings and issue permits for authorized work.
  • Risk Assessments and Compliance: Conduct equipment and activity risk assessments and ensure all work complies with Perth Airport safety policies.
  • Safety Promotion and Issue Reporting: Report and address safety issues, promoting a safe working culture.
  • EEMP Implementation and Maintenance: Implement and maintain the Electrical Engineering Management Plan (EEMP).
  • Cost-Saving Opportunities and Compliance: Identify and communicate opportunities for improving plant, equipment, and systems, and ensure timely response to fault notifications, rectifying issues to agreed standards and providing customer feedback.
  • Project Progress and Asset Ownership: Assist in project progress, supporting targeted project outcomes and asset ownership.
  • Environmental Compliance: Maintain compliance with the Perth Airport Environmental Management Framework.
  • Cost-Saving and Business Purchasing: Promote cost-saving opportunities and adhere to the Business Purchasing Policy.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate: Recognised electrical trade certificate in Australia.
  • Western Australia Electrical Licence: Unrestricted Western Australia Electrical Licence.
  • Post-Trade Experience: Minium 5 years post trade experience.
  • Aviation Industry Experience: Aviation industry experience is highly regarded.
  • High Voltage Switching Ticket: High Voltage Switching Ticket.
  • First Aid and CPR: First Aid certificate (within a year or ability to obtain one) and Current CPR/LVR certificate.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Valid Drivers Licence (Minimum C class).
  • Commitment to Safety: Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Electrical Installations and Project Delivery: Proven experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and project delivery.
  • OSHMS and Airport Safety Standards: Strong knowledge of OSHMS, EEMP, and airport safety standards.
  • Supervisory Skills: Excellent supervisory skills and ability to manage contractors effectively.
  • Australian Working Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.
