About the Role

Pathfinder Recruitment is excited to bring a great opportunity to market for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a Sydney-based managed services provider (MSP). This role involves working across a broad client base, servicing start-up through to medium-sized corporate businesses in Sydney. The primary focus will be on delivering projects, including migrations, relocations, networking implementations, upgrades, and managing virtual environments.

About You

  • You should have at least 5 years of experience in technical support and 1-2 years as a Senior Level 3 Engineer.
  • Advanced technical understanding of IT products and services, particularly the Microsoft stack, including Windows Server, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune, Exchange Server, and managing virtual environments.
  • Strong networking experience across switches, routers, and firewalls, with a good understanding of VLANs and WIFI.
  • You will be working autonomously as well as part of a team, building trust with key stakeholders, and managing client relationships.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, 1-2 years as a Senior Level 3 Engineer.
  • Previous experience working in an MSP environment in a projects role.
  • Strong understanding of IT products and services, particularly Microsoft and cloud services.
  • Previous experience as an escalation point for level 2.
  • Strong systems support experience, including Windows Server, Exchange, Microsoft Intune, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and managing virtual environments.
  • Networking experience across switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Good understanding of VLANs and WIFI, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with ticketing systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Current driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Qualifications in IT or equivalent industry certifications.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000-$180,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
