At Costco Wholesale, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front End Assistant to join our team in Brisbane. As a valued member of our front end staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service experiences for our members.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting members, assisting with loading orders onto conveyor belts, and providing prompt and courteous member service. You will also be required to pack member orders into boxes, load them onto trolleys or flatbeds, and check packaging for tampering.

  • Daily Tasks:
  • Greet members, help them load order onto conveyor belt, determine member's packing preferences, answer questions, provide information on special promotions, thank members, and provide prompt and courteous member service.
  • Pack member orders into boxes and load to separate trolley or flatbed, check packaging for tampering, follow all safety and security procedures, assist members loading orders into car when appropriate.
  • Run for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly.
  • Transfer items not on belt to separate trolley or flatbed as cashiers scan them, follow proper departmental procedures for performance of duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness of register area and general front end area, clean spills and trip hazards immediately.
  • Retrieve trolleys and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, push no more than 10 trolleys together, keep lot area free of debris, and sweep in front of building.
  • Perform related tasks such as set up and closing duties for the department, return products, collect paperwork, stock registers, and clean area.

This is a full-time position working a rotating roster which includes evenings and weekend shifts. Shifts will be between 8am and 10pm.
