About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Lead in Fighter (Hawk) team within the Aerospace organisation based in Williamtown, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and undertaking fault diagnosis of avionic systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and inspect avionic systems and components to ensure compliance with regulatory and airworthiness requirements.
  2. Undertake fault diagnosis and repair of avionic systems and components.
  3. Ensure maintenance performance meets all regulatory and airworthiness requirements.
  4. Carry out scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Team Leader.
  5. Ensure maintenance and technical documentation is authorised for use and is compliant.
  6. Correctly and promptly record details of work performed on the correct documents.
  7. Report defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors, and unserviceability's to the Team Leader.
  8. Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorised level.
  9. Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks.
About You
  1. Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Avionics or equivalent.
  2. Australian Citizen with ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance.
  3. Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Aircraft.
  4. Military or Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence (Highly Desirable).
  5. Understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations, process, and procedures (Highly Desirable).
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work within a fast-paced and strong team environment.
Eligibility & Security Clearances

As a Defence security clearance is required for the position, candidates are required to be Australian Citizens to apply and either currently possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance. Further information regarding security clearances is available.
