Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and develop comprehensive test plans to validate new features.

A typical day may include:

  • Conducting thorough testing of new features and identifying defects\
  • Developing detailed test plans and documentation to track outcomes\
  • Liaising with developers and stakeholders to have defects corrected\
  • Validating and verifying that features and functions are working as intended\
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce defects\
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members on test planning and execution\
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality coding practices\
  • Collaborating with the development team to prioritize and assign tasks\
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve skills and knowledge\
  • Contributing to the development of best practices and standards for testing and quality assurance within the organization\
  • Supporting the deployment and maintenance of automated testing tools and scripts\
  • Assisting in the identification and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce defects\
  • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of documentation for testing procedures and standards\
  • Collaborating with other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes\
  • Providing input on project requirements and contributing to project planning\
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback and provide updates on project progress\
  • Participating in sprint planning and retrospectives to discuss and address challenges and opportunities for improvement\
  • Documenting and communicating lessons learned to improve future projects and initiatives\
  • Actively seeking out and participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge\
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives\
