Mental Health Liaison Specialist

The Clinical Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in providing recovery-oriented clinical interventions to consumers and their carers throughout the pre-admission process. This involves conducting mental health assessments, liaising with family members/carers, community supports and healthcare professionals, and participating in networking and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities:\- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for consumers and their carers.
- Liaise effectively with family members/carers, community supports, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in networking and promotional activities to enhance service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate step-up or step-down admissions to the facility.
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Registered Nursing, or Psychology, as recognized by the relevant professional bodies.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in complex psychosocial mental health assessment, planning, and delivery of recovery-oriented mental health interventions.
- A commitment to incorporating Mental Health Recovery principles into daily clinical practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current NSW Driver's License (Class C - unrestricted).
