Job Overview:

The Regional Field Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of project field personnel. As a key figure within the nbn Unify Services Project, this individual will ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bulletin Boards prioritise Safety as the number one priority in all aspects of day-to-day activities.
  • Leading the BSA Safety leadership auditing program, including audit programs and walk the talks.
  • Supervising field Supervisor safety audits to be completed on time and actioned via Performance Management Program.
  • Organizing regular toolbox and stop for safety days, providing essential training and guidance to the field workforce.
  • Preparing and delivering relevant toolbox content in collaboration with various departments.
  • Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth functioning of field operations.
  • Maintaining regular updates to the Head of State - Simplex Operations on operational activities and progress.
  • Developing cost-effective strategies to manage technician mobilisation.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of BSA Field Supervisors, Technicians, and contractors in specific regions.
  • Forecasting requirements and managing resources to meet business needs.
  • Effectively communicating with clients, contractors, and suppliers to enhance business relationships.
  • Performing other duties related to field activity both externally and internally as required.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Field Management related work environment.
  • Certificate III in Telecommunications or equivalent qualification.
  • Licences, tickets, and other qualifications as required.
  • In-depth knowledge of NBN technologies.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business management or a related discipline (desirable but not essential).
