Enrolment Project Officer


Job Description:

This role involves working as part of the Event Strategy and Delivery Branch during a period of growth and transition. You will be responsible for analysing and resolving discrepancies in electoral data, providing support in delivering the Enrolment Team's activities, and supporting the Integrity Team in the investigation and resolving of integrity related issues that impact the Victorian Register of Electors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analysing and resolving discrepancies in electoral data to ensure its accuracy and integrity.
  • Providing support in delivering the Enrolment Team's activities, whilst also performing quality assurance on the work performed by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).
  • Supporting the Enrolment Team in investigating, resolving and/or escalating complex enrolment matters, and with reviews of electoral policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with internal and external agencies, including the AEC and local councils, in relation to enrolment matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An understanding of electoral enrolment in an Australian jurisdiction is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience interpreting legislation and explaining it to both expert and non-expert audiences.
  • Experience in data analysis and database management, with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to the VEC's core values.
