Front Desk Reservations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Reservations Specialist to join our dynamic team at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf. As a key member of our reservations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination of group bookings and reservations.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have experience in a front office or reservations role and possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera PMS. Additionally, they will be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Manage all group bookings of 10 rooms or more, handling enquiries via email or phone during shifts and providing timely responses.
- Handle guest complaints and enquiries efficiently and professionally, ensuring the Reservations Manager is informed of any feedback.
- Perform all reservations duties, including making and entering reservations, and prepare group information sheets prior to arrival.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a front office or reservations role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera PMS.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Time management skills with the ability to multitask.
