Job Title:

Clinical Nurse Consultant 1 - Chronic Cardiovascular Care at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District

The district's vision is to provide exceptional care and promote healthier lives. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant 1, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that enables our community to be healthy and well.

You will work collaboratively within the team, demonstrating clinical leadership skills and commitment to excellence in nursing practice. You will also contribute to strategic service planning, applying your expertise in consultancy and working independently.

This role requires recent cardiology experience in an acute care setting. The successful applicant will be a registered nurse with at least five years' experience in post-graduation qualification or relevant post-graduate qualifications in their field of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care through effective communication and interpersonal skills across various mediums.
  • Contribute to the development and change of clinical practice, underpinned by evidence-based research.
  • Apply clinical expertise in consultancy, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and services.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in cardiovascular care.
Requirements:
  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Minimum five years' experience in post-graduation qualification and/or a post-graduate qualification in the field of practice.
  • Recent cardiology experience in an acute care facility.
