Job Overview

We are seeking a Professional Policy and Standards Specialist to support the development and review of professional standards, guidelines, and policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conducting research and drafting standards, guidelines, policies, and reports
  • Preparing submissions, briefing papers, agendas, and minutes
  • Soliciting feedback and coordinating consultation processes
  • Monitoring changes in best practice, health policy, and professional standards
  • Coordinating projects to meet agreed timelines and reporting needs
Requirements:
  • A qualification in public policy, law, or political science
  • Experience in policy, research, or advisory work (health, education, or membership organisations an advantage)
  • Knowledge of standards development and governance processes
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to prepare clear and accurate documents
  • The capacity to manage competing deadlines and maintain attention to detail
  • Skills in organising committee work and engaging with stakeholders

This is a full-time ongoing position that can be based out of one of our offices. You will enjoy a flexible working arrangement with 1-2 days per week in the office.
