Job Overview

The role of AV Technician Concierge is to provide exceptional technical support and customer service for various AV requirements. This includes setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment such as displays, unified conferencing systems, audio devices, microphones, and control systems.

This position involves working closely with event coordinators to understand AV needs and providing technical assistance throughout events and presentations. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Client Assistance: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, assisting with any AV or tech requirements.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Event Support: Collaborate with event coordinators to meet AV needs and provide technical support during events.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve AV-related issues to minimize disruption.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and reports for equipment usage, maintenance, and technical issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an AV technical support role.
  • Technical certification in AV or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in operating AV systems, video conferencing technology, and troubleshooting AV hardware/software issues.
  • Commissioning, programming knowledge and experience is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing needs and environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
