Kaliba is a key IBM Partner with a global presence expanding its Australian operations. We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join our team in Melbourne's CBD.

The Role

This position involves leading a team of four and reporting directly to the Global Head of Infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure high service levels for clients both locally and globally, driving the success and efficiency of the infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the infrastructure team, fostering a positive culture and professional ethos while defining a healthy, collaborative working attitude.
  • Serve as the first-line interface for departments consuming services from the infrastructure team.
  • Oversee the provisioning of infrastructure team services for project delivery teams and project managers.
  • Collaborate with global team members through regular stand-ups, weekly resource meetings, and strategic initiatives.
  • Act as Major Incident Manager for critical incidents occurring within the region or globally during local working hours.
  • Provide technical expertise to produce quotes and estimates for infrastructure builds and facilitate client meetings within the local time zone.
  • Monitor and track costs associated with the infrastructure team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Lead technical teams, including DevOps, public cloud, and infrastructure engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Respond to infrastructure-related incidents, including acting as a Major Incident Manager following ITIL frameworks.
  • Implement and build public cloud platform engineering solutions, with a preference for AWS expertise.
  • Work with containerization technologies, such as IBM RedHat OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes, with an understanding of their primary principles.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite 8/9, IBM Maximo Manage, IBM Maximo 7.6, and IBM WebSphere is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in database platforms, including DB2 and SQL Server (Oracle experience is a plus).
  • Utilize infrastructure as code tools, such as Ansible (preferred), Terraform, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Knowledge of Single Sign-On protocols and technologies, including SAML, LDAP, and SCIM.
  • Apply cybersecurity practices and frameworks, such as ISO27001, SOC1/2, CyberEssentials+, or the NCSC 14 Principles of Cyber Security.
  • Write and maintain detailed technical documentation.
