We are seeking an effective Finance Manager to lead our financial teams out of our state-of-the-art BMSA Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.

As a Finance Manager, you will guide your teams to deliver excellence in Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control.

The Opportunity

  • Permanent full-time role
  • Lead your teams to deliver excellence in Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control
  • Achieve and maintain the highest Corporate Governance standards as it relates to BMSA and Otraco's Statutory obligations (Financial Reports, BAS, GST, FBT, Income Tax reporting, Audits, Group Consolidation)
  • Coordinate and supervise the bi-annual stocktake and fixed asset audit
  • Supervise, review, and approve monthly and year-end reconciliations and schedules, including General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide a true and accurate financial position for inclusion in the monthly management reports

About You – Essential

  • Relevant accounting qualifications, CPA, or CA level or equivalent overseas certification
  • Five years of industry experience as a Senior Financial Accountant looking for a step-up or three years as a Finance Manager
  • High-level expertise with ERP accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS
  • Proven ability to develop a team with a strong customer service culture
  • Experience in maintaining the highest standards in Corporate Governance and Industry Standard Protocols
  • Demonstrated history managing all corporate and consolidated reporting requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • An effective collaborator/influencer across all levels of the business
  • Team management experience and proven results in staff empowerment
  • Acceptance of infrequent interstate travel
  • Current work rights in Australia
