We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Woombye Childcare and Nature Kindergarten. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to work in a natural outdoor centre environment, surrounded by amazing visual arts studios and regular excursions to local parks and community gardens.

About the Role:

  • Develop and deliver innovative early childhood education programs that cater to diverse needs
  • Work collaboratively in a small team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess sites for nature-based learning and play, and manage risk posed by wildlife, weather, fire, intruders, and children's health issues
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful program

Requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Driver's License and access to a vehicle
  • Physical fitness and ability to participate in outdoor activities
  • Demonstrated passion and experience in delivering innovative early childhood education programs
  • Understanding of working with children who take safe risks in a natural environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team
  • Good communication skills and ability to converse with children, parents, and staff

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience in delivering outdoor education programs
  • Experience in progressive or alternative approaches to education
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation and program development in a nature-based learning setting
