Lansdowne Gardens sets a new standard in residential aged care, providing a luxurious and warm environment for our residents. As a Cook, you will be part of a cohesive and dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present high-quality meals in accordance with menus designed by the Executive Chef, resident needs, and preferences.
  • Comply with the Cranbrook Care Food Safety Program at all times.
  • Understand and adhere to Cranbrook Care's responsibilities regarding kitchen and food services under the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Aged Care Quality Standards 2019.
  • Deliver food services that meet accreditation requirements and maintain a high level of quality.
  • Contribute to the kitchen team by delivering high-quality and timely outputs, treating colleagues with respect, and continuously improving your skills and capabilities.
  • Embody the Cranbrook Care culture and work according to our values.
Requirements
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Experience in preparing traditional cuisine and following standard recipes.
  • Ability to respond to changes in resident dietary requirements.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Background in aged care, hospital, or hospitality, with experience in a large-scale commercial kitchen.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and food safety associated with cooking for vulnerable individuals.
  • Experience in baking and dessert preparation.
  • Strong communication and computer literacy skills.
  • Food Safety Supervisor's Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Up-to-date Covid-19 vaccinations.
