Patent Examiner Role

About the Role

IP Australia is seeking a skilled Patent Examiner to join our team. As a Patent Examiner, you will play a critical role in the administration of patents, trade marks, designs, and plant breeder's rights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine patent applications to determine their patentability
  • Conduct searches and analyses to identify relevant prior art
  • Make decisions on patent applications and respond to applicant inquiries

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property law and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
