About the Position

This is a managerial role with clinical responsibility for leading the Paediatric Physiotherapy Team at John Hunter Children's Hospital. The team provides evidence-based assessments, interventions and child-focused care to ensure optimal outcomes for infants, children, young people and their families.

The manager will work closely alongside other service managers within Paediatric Allied Health and with members of various multidisciplinary teams. This position involves providing clinical assessment and intervention across inpatient and outpatient areas, involving patients with various needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Paediatric Physiotherapy Team
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant university degree in physiotherapy
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Membership of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
