Pharmacy Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacy Practice Advisor.

This leadership role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to make a real difference in patient care and contribute to a framework for innovation and continual quality improvement.

The successful candidate will have expertise in aseptic cancer chemotherapy compounding and pharmaceutical clinical trials, as well as excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical governance principles and systems to promote safety and excellence in patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, professional practice standards, and organisational policies.
  • Establish and review quality initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on pharmacy practice within scope of practice.
  • Participate in policy development, education, and training programs.

About the Role:

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement systems to ensure quality use of medicines.

You will be responsible for providing leadership to pharmacy managers and team members in meeting best practice and quality use of medicines obligations across the organisation.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA Pharmacy Board Registration essential.
  • Significant and varied pharmacy experience relevant to the role.
  • Prior experience in aseptic compounding of cancer treatments essential.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical clinical trials essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills to build professional working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
