At Macquarie University, we provide students with an alternative pathway to several undergraduate degrees through our college. The college offers a range of programs, including Standard Foundation and Intensive Programs, designed to cater to the needs of diverse learners.
Your Role as a Casual Teacher
We invite expressions of interest from qualified and experienced teachers to teach in our college's courses during the day and/or evening. As a casual teacher, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering lessons, marking assessments, supervising in-class assessments and examinations, managing results, and providing student consultation and support.
Requirements for the Position
- You must hold a minimum of a 3-year bachelor degree in a relevant discipline area. A postgraduate degree is highly desirable.
- You should have at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a pathway space.
- You must possess expertise in teaching one or more areas, including Arts, Business, Statistics/Mathematics, Critical Thinking, Economics, Engineering, Marketing and Management, Media, Information Technology, and specialized fields such as Processing and Java Programming, Database Modelling and SQL, Video Game Design, Cyber Security, Business Information Systems, and Digital Intelligence.
