You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Department of Energy and Public Works QLD's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing high-level leadership and expertise in project management consulting services.
Reporting to the Principal Project Manager, you will supervise a team of professionals and ensure the successful delivery of capital works programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert project management consulting services and leadership for capital works programs.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Project Managers and other staff within the Capital Works Team.
- Coordinate all aspects of building project implementation, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and relationships to ensure effective project delivery and profitability.
- Oversee project activities and ensure effective communication among project staff, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare and coordinate regional capital-related reports.
- Lead negotiations with consultants, local authorities, clients, and contractors to deliver value-for-money solutions.
- Some travel into remote communities is required.
