Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Leader to lead our community infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing staff and resources engaged in infrastructure maintenance activities.

The Team Leader will ensure the safe, efficient, and effective execution of works and maintain accurate documentation of works using our corporate systems.

This role promotes team collaboration and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements; acts as a liaison between crew members and supervisors; reports issues; and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading infrastructure repairs and maintenance
  • Ensuring team and work compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Overseeing site risk assessments; monitoring and reporting hazards, incidents or near misses; ensuring any corrective actions are taken
  • Leading, supporting and guiding team members to achieve operational goals efficiently and safely
  • Fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages open communication and mutual respect
Selection Criteria:
  • Excellent team leadership skills
  • Effective planning skills and the ability to organise allocation of the work program to the team
  • Experience in water and sewerage operations
  • Availability for on-call after-work commitments
  • Construction Induction WHS card
  • MR licence
