Child and Family Health Specialist

This position provides high-quality child and family health services to families with young children through various channels, including the Parents Help Line, phone, telehealth, and online interactions.
The successful applicant will apply evidence-based practice principles and models of care to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver family-centered care via phone, telehealth, and online platforms using best practices.
- Utilize a strength-based approach to empower parents and enhance their caregiving skills in safe and responsive ways.
- Identify potential health variations or vulnerabilities and develop individualized care plans and discharge pathways.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing supervision and professional development opportunities.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate qualifications and experience in Child and Family Health.
- Understanding of evidence-based practice and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to address the needs of children and families, with knowledge of population health and primary healthcare principles.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with computer literacy meeting national standards.
