Job Overview

The Head of School for Human Services is a key role responsible for academic leadership and delivery of courses within the discipline. This position entails ensuring academic integrity, learning and teaching design, student engagement, and academic progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Course Operations and Delivery Management: Oversight of course operations, including Learning Management System (LMS) and associated resources, to ensure high-quality academic experiences.
  • Teaching Excellence: Providing and supporting high-quality teaching, setting a standard for the academic team to deliver exceptional student outcomes.
  • Industry Partnerships and Employability Strategies: Developing industry-relevant strategies to promote student employability and career readiness.
  • Continuous Improvement Processes: Overseeing continuous improvement processes, including course reviews, moderation, and benchmarking, to maintain quality and currency.
  • Academic Team Leadership: Leading and managing a high-performing academic team, including recruiting, developing, mentoring, and coaching staff.
  • Student Achievement Monitoring: Identifying and supporting at-risk students with a focus on retention and completion.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all academic operations and staff comply with regulatory frameworks and organizational policies.
