High-quality electrical systems play a crucial role in the seamless integration of industrial machinery into smart factory solutions. As an Electrical Systems Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing complex electrical systems for CNC grinding machines and ancillary products.

About the Role

This pivotal position requires a highly skilled professional to join our dynamic team at our Bayswater Head Office. You will report to the Systems Engineering Team Leader (Mechatronic Solutions) and contribute to project FAT/SAT activities. Your contributions will be vital for the success of our projects.

  • Design and develop electrical systems for industrial machinery, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical leaders to establish best practice standards for electrical design, ECAD implementation, and machine safety.
  • Contribute to the development of Codesys PLC and safety PLC for selected projects.
  • Work closely with the mechanical design team throughout the design cycle.

Please find below the required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, electrical, or electronic engineering or a related field.
  • Registered professional engineer accreditation (or eligibility to apply).
  • Approximately 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software tools from Eplan, such as Eplan Electric P8, Cogineer, ProPanel, etc.
  • Experience in electrical component selection, electrical cabinet design, 3-phase power distribution, earth and grounding design, and EMC testing and compliance.
  • Knowledge of sizing, selection, setup, and testing of PLC, servo motor, and controls hardware.
  • Understanding of machine safety design, risk assessment, safety function design, safety calculations, safety PLC programming, and validation.
