Deakin University seeks a strategic leader to provide expert advice, coordination, and operational oversight for the Business Continuity Policy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Business Continuity Management Program by identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with stakeholders to drive change.
- Provide high-level coordination and strategic support to the Crisis Incident Management Team during critical incidents and emergencies by analyzing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the review, validation, and testing of University and local area Business Continuity Plans by conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing process improvements.
- Conduct enterprise-wide Business Impact Assessments to assess key functions, identify interdependencies, and improve Business Continuity Plans and resilience strategies by leveraging data analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications and proven experience in leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide business continuity frameworks by driving organizational change and improving processes.
- Demonstrated capability to lead institutional responses to crises and high-risk incidents by coordinating Crisis Management Teams and integrating Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to conduct business impact assessments, translate complex risk data into actionable insights, and develop practical solutions that support continuity planning and risk mitigation.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships across academic and professional groups to embed a culture of preparedness and align continuity planning with business needs.
