Payroll Officer Role Summary

The Payroll Officer is a key position within our organization, responsible for the day-to-day payroll processes and tasks under the supervision of the Payroll Manager.

You will be part of a team that handles accurate and on-time processing of fortnightly payrolls for over 4,000 employees, new hires, terminations, position changes, and other Masterfile maintenance as required by legislation and organizational guidelines.

This role involves ensuring appropriate Superannuation administration is remitted within legislated timeframes and organizational policy, as well as assisting the Payroll Manager with scheduled and ad hoc enquiries and reports.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years recent payroll processing experience
  • Aged Care or Community Care experience beneficial
  • Cert IV in Payroll Administration desirable but not required
  • Excellent understanding of end-to-end payroll processes in a medium to large organization, utilizing multiple Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience using Aurion Payroll (preferred) or a recognized automated payroll system and exposure to electronic time and attendance systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of employment legal obligations
  • National Police Check or ability to obtain
