Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to manage and execute the preparation, presentation, and delivery of high-quality meals to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement meal production strategies that ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
  2. Oversee and support the dining experience for residents, ensuring a positive interaction with food service staff.
  3. Lead and direct kitchen operations, fostering a smooth workflow and efficient teamwork.
  4. Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety (WHS), and quality management standards.
  5. Manage inventory and ordering processes, optimizing stock control and reducing waste.
  6. Implement cost-effective measures to maintain optimal food costs.
  7. Effectively communicate with facility management, residents, and their families to address queries and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Hold relevant chef qualifications and certifications.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience within aged care settings, with a strong understanding of modified texture and dietary requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of food cost management principles and best practices.
  • Embody a proactive approach to continuous improvement, driving innovation in the kitchen.
