About this role:

As a volunteer with our organisation, you will be contributing to making a positive difference in the lives of families who are struggling. Our team has been providing support services for many years, focusing on early years and community engagement.

We strive to build stronger, more connected communities. Our volunteers play a vital role in achieving this mission by providing emotional and practical support to families in their homes.

**The Role**

You will be working closely with a mother and her baby/small children referred by health professionals due to isolation and lack of family support. Your responsibilities will include providing practical support such as feeding, settling, and playing with the children, as well as assisting with household organisation and appointments/outings.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide emotional and practical support to families in their homes.
  • Assist with household organisation and appointments/outings.
  • Work closely with mothers and their babies/small children referred by health professionals.

**Requirements:**

We are looking for individuals who are flexible, non-judgmental, and calm. You should be functionally fit and active, with knowledge of the local community and experience working with babies and small children. While formal qualifications are not required, experience in early childhood or nursing is helpful but not essential.
